deposit & refund policy

A $100.00 deposit is required to order or hold an instrument. For Pick 'N Build instruments this is refundable up to the start-of-build date. When you order, we'll send you an e-mail confirmation with a link to our PayPal account for payment. Once payment is confirmed, we'll send a receipt of your deposit and your information will be logged into the build schedule. Prior to the start of the build, we'll send you an e-mail notice of the start date. This will be your last chance to cancel the order for a refund of your deposit.

​You will have 30 days from receipt of the instrument to return it for a refund of the instrument price. If the instrument is returned after this period, it cannot be refunded.

​The instrument must be returned in the same/as new condition as it was received and must be shipped in the original packaging with the original receipt - please keep a copy for your records.

​Refunds will be arranged at the owner's preference by PayPal or check.

The owner is responsible for the cost of shipping.

​proper handling

My workmanship and method of constructing necks ensure that every instrument is free of defects and should last for years to come.
  When stored, instruments should be hung vertically from the head stock hanging hole, kept on a stand, or flat in a case in a moderately humid environment (45% humidity +/-5%). Never lean your instrument at an angle against any surface for a prolonged period - sound advice for any brand guitar or guitar-type instrument.

  Depending on the frequency and style of your playing, frets may wear more or less quickly. Volume and tone control knobs, and tuning machines may loosen up. These things are part of the normal 'wear and tear' of an instrument, and can be readily serviced. 

WARRANTY

All woodwork including neck construction, bracing, and joinery, as well as fretwork and general assembly are guaranteed for two years. Commercially-sourced parts including tuning machines, hinge tailpieces, pick-ups and all electronic components are guaranteed for one year under normal care.

  Instruments are subject to thorough inspection. Any signs of accidental damage, mishandling, or carelessness will void this warranty. Otherwise, I will repair, or if necessary, replace with one of the exact same specification at no cost to the owner. If you want to make any upgrade to the instrument, a corresponding upcharge will apply. Sorry, downgrading cannot be credited.

  This warranty applies to the original owner only and the original receipt is required at time of return. I will pay the cost of shipping.​
